NCVRA ANNUAL MEETING
APRIL 24-26, 2020
Courtyard by Marriott, Chapel Hill, North Carolina
As we usher in a new decade, your board and meeting planners want to bring you a new and exciting annual meeting. So doll yourself up in your flapper outfits or Good-Time Charlie attire and plan to join us for a great weekend of education, leadership, socialization, and skill-building.
Our weekend will start with cocktails and conversation in the hospitality suite for those coming in on Friday evening.
Educational settings start after a hot breakfast on Saturday morning.
Our business meeting will include election of officers and voting on constitution and bylaws amendments.
We’ll have the opportunity to hear from speakers on many topics, including what’s happening in the profession in North Carolina (notary), regionally (VA and licensure) and around the country.
We plan to build in time for you to visit with vendors without feeling rushed.
Saturday evening is our “speakeasy” evening. Wear your flapper dresses, hats, beads and sparkles and plan to enjoy an evening of breaking bread, jazz, conversation, and perhaps even some ice-breaker games and photography.
Join us on Sunday for a “back by request” Dragon session with Teresa Johnson, CVR-M-CM, RVR-M, current NVRA President, where you can refresh yourself on how to make Dragon work for you. We’ll have a beginner session that will flow directly into the intermediate session and our day will culminate with a “mock” RVR certification prep test. (We’re working on a session to go opposite the beginner session for those who are a bit more proficient with Dragon so that all get the same CE benefit!)
More information to follow, including hotel link, in the new year.
Let’s make the NCVRA 2020 Annual Meeting our place to be at the end of April!
